Well, I haven't the slightest
idea just WHAT furries are, there are so many varieties. Suffice to say
furries, or sometimes spelled furrys, are anthropomorphisized animals.
Most everyone knows what Bugs Bunny looks like. He's a rabbit, but he doesn't
look like any cotton tail rabbit I see eating clover on my lawn. He's tall,
walks upright and talks. All very human things.
The dictionary defines it
like this:
an·thro·po·mor·phism
(àn´thre-pe-môr¹fîz´em) noun
Attribution of human motivation,
characteristics, or behavior to inanimate objects, animals, or natural
phenomena.
— an´thro·po·mor¹phic
adjective
— an´thro·po·mor¹phi·cal·ly
adverb
This gets applied to anything
you can imagine. Furries tend to do this on a grander scale, creating
a inner character of their 'totem' animal. Some people like to just look
at such creatures, some like to 'role play' as if they were such a creature.
Some actually dress up in costume! For those furry fans who are mobile,
there are things called ConFURances, emphasis on the 'fur'. Click on this
